TIN MỪNG CHO NGƯỜI TRẺ: WHAT IS YOUR TREASURE?
In today’s Gospel reading, Jesus talks abour being ready for when He comes again. He reminds us that having nice things here on earth does not help us get into Heaven.
Jesus said “Where your treasure is there will your heart be also.” He means that the things that are important to you show what it is that you love. If money or food or nice clothes are the most important things in your life, then it shows that you love them more than you should. But if being kind and helpful to others and loving God are more important to you than having nice things, then you have a good treasure stored up for Heaven.
When we die, everything we have will be gone. All that we will have to show to Jesus are the things that are in our hearts. If you only loved to have nice stuff then the treasure box of your heart will be empty. If you loved God and others and were faithful to God, then your treasure will still be full. So fill your heart with treasure that will last forever!
